Change one thing at a time

Start with the exposure guidance supplied with your UV resin. Keep the lamp distance, mold, and resin quantity consistent while testing one change.

Record which lamp, material, layer thickness, pigment, and timer setting you used. A quick note is more useful than relying on memory between sessions.

Give the light a clear path

Dark pigments, dense inclusions, and opaque molds can block light. Follow your resin supplier's recommendations for adding color and working in layers.

Inspect accessible surfaces and the underside after the piece cools. Do not assume a longer cycle will solve a wavelength mismatch or a shadowed center.

Keep a tidy, stable setup

Secure lamp adjustments before a cycle, route cables away from your work, and keep fan openings clear. Switch off the light before repositioning it.

Use tools and appropriate gloves to handle uncured resin, and follow the material maker's instructions for cleaning and disposal.

Build your own reference

Once a test works for a particular material and project, keep a sample and your notes together. Re-test when you change the resin, pigment, mold, or lamp setup.

There is no universal curing time. Your records help you develop a repeatable routine for the work you actually make.
